Hiya Skylakins, thank you for your interest in the gym team!

Myself and the gym team after discussing your application have some questions about your gym team;

Why have you decided on Flash Cannon over another option such as Shadow Ball on Aegislash? Why does your Mega Swampert have no Speed EVs and why are you using it rather than another Swift Swimmer like Barraskewda? What made you decide on Heavy-Duty Boots instead of Damp Rock for Pelipper?

What's the reasoning for Vaporeon over a different bulky Water type like Primarina, Alomomola (With or without Flip Turn), Tapu Fini or Toxapex on this team? What made you decide on Decidueye over a different Special Attacker? Why Lightning Rod over Rock Head on Alolan Marowak, and why Alolan Marowark in general instead of another option that's not as negatively affect by the Rain from Pelipper?

Feel free to contact me on discord (eatfoods) if you have further questions.

Thank you again for your interest and have a lovely day,
HF Staff and Gym team

Hello, I decided on Flash Cannon since ice types with Freeze Dry are a big threat to the team, so being able to hit those consistently without needing to use a move slot on a different mon is nice, as well as already having ghost coverage else where on the team makes running Shadow Ball not as needed. Also I realized I accidentally put Protect instead of Substitute.

As for Swampert, I didn't see the need to invest into speed other then a few situational occasions, and I would rather the electric immunity that swampert brings instead of more offensive pressure that Barraskeda brings.

The Heavy-Duty Boots on Pelipper, lets it switch in more often without worrying about Stealth Rock chip, which the lets me use it more as a pivot, thus not requiring Damp Rock to keep rain up for longer. Without Damp Rock, I am able to use Flare Blitz more often on Alolan-Marowak.

My reasoning for Vaporeon over other choices is its access to Wish and Flip turn as well as Heal Bell to protect my team for status effects that would otherwise be detrimental, and it also having Hydration in the rain means if it gets afflicted with a status itself I dont require using Heal Bell if its the only one with a status effect.

I felt Decidueye was was a decent choice since it gets Hurricane, and resists both Grass and Electric, which are common threats, and can answer opposing water types. I gave it HP-Ice to have a surprise option to hit Dragons with Super effective move as well as a consistent way to hit opposing Grass types outside of rain.

Finally for Alolan-Marowak, it having Lighting Rod gives me another Electric immunity and Rock Head was only going to affect Flare Blitz, which is only a situational option since rain. I choose it mainly because it is a check to Ice types, which could otherwise causes problems to my team, though there may be other options that I may have missed instead. Suggestions would be appreciated!
